This is a timeline of activities and achievements we have completed through out the year :)


We have put up the Beach Hut for the summer! We cant wait to get down there and relax in the sun!


Some of our staff received awards yesterday! A massive congratulations to Lorraine Johnson on winning the Dedication award, Louise Maciver on winning the Dependable award, Rob Etheridge on winning the Compassionate award, Stephen King on winning the Progress award, Sydney Jury on winning the Talented award and Shannon Harris on winning the Flourishing award! Unfortunately Shannon wasn't present when the photos were taken :(

New Horizons would like to thank ALL of their staff for their ongoing support and hard work, well done guys, you're doing a great job!!

We had a birthday disco for one of our Service Users! Happy Birthday Darrell!!


We had a big group day out to Kearsney Abbey! We took the nets to fish in the river, some ball games, had a picnic and ice cream and fed the ducks!


We attended Mencap's picnic in Dane Park! Our Service Users enjoyed joining in with the games provided.


Our Tuesday drama group and Wednesday drama group merged together to put on this years performance of 'Mamma Mia'. A lot of hard work and effort went into the performance! Well done and a massive thank you to all of the Service Users who took part and to all staff who helped out, leading up to the show and on the day!


We participated in the Ramsgate Carnival and won 1st place for Best Decorated small vehicle! Our theme was Mamma Mia. A big thank you to our Service Users and staff who gave up their time to take part.


We went to the 'Maize maze' at Quex Park. Our Service Users enjoyed finding their way through the maze. Although it wasn't overly wheelchair friendly, with lots of hard work from our staff we got through it! Our Service Users also had loads of fun bouncing on the 'bouncy castle' style inflatable.


We went to the Mencap Fun day at Margate football Club. We enjoyed the variety of activities to take part in, such as circus skills, sports stalls, sensory stall, live music etc. Our Service users had a brilliant day!


After the Ramsgate carnival was so successful, we decided to take part in the Margate carnival! We would once again like to thank the Service Users who took part and all of our staff who gave up their time to support us.


Some of our Service Users went to the fair in Herne Bay whilst they were on respite at New Horizons caravan!


We enjoyed going to the Water Gala at Broadstairs. Here are some of our Service Users and staff eating their lunch at the shelters.


We had a staff night out to Dreamland where they were showing Dirty Dancing at the open-air cinema. What a lovely evening spent with our fantastic team.


Today was one of Service Users birthdays! Seeing as she loves a disco we thought we'd give her an all day disco! She was very pleased. Happy Birthday Ros!


Today was one of our Service Users birthdays. Happy birthday Lee!


Today, one of our Service Users spotted this gorgeous car from Fast and Furious and was taking lots of photos... He couldn't believe his luck when the owners returned and allowed him to sit inside for photos!!! Thanks so much to Steve and his partner, our Service User was smiling all day....this is what it's all about and why we love our Job!!!


We are pleased to announce we have started up our woodwork sessions again. Service Users have been supported to help with painting, sanding, drilling, varnishing, and refurbishing old furniture. This is Matt, he will be running the woodwork sessions. Look out on out page for furniture we may be selling!


We have started decorating our display wall for Halloween! The Service Users and staff have worked very hard making lots of arts and crafts projects.


We had a staff meeting today, where six of our staff were given awards. Well done to: Rebecca Mackinnon on winning the Diligent award, Rochene Turney on winning the Perseverance award, Jenny Baker on winning the Motivational award, Marnie Wood on winning the gracious award, Caroline Flint on winning the Conscientious ward, and Doreen Scott on winning the 15 years of Service award. We would like to thank and congratulate all of our brilliant staff team on their hard work. Unfortunately Doreen wasn't present when the picture was taken! More awards to be given throughout the year. Keep up the good work!


We held our Halloween disco today! A massive well done to Darrell, who won the award for best costume! She came dressed as a spider, complete with a big shiny web on her back!


We are pleased to announce that the Resource Centre has a new carpet and new sofas!! We are very pleased with it, it gives the place a whole new feel!


Today was one of Service Users birthdays, Happy Birthday Lauren!


For this years Christmas Staff do, we got a mini bus up to Rochester Christmas market! It was a lovely day and nice to do something a bit different! A great opportunity for a bit of team building!


Today a group of us went over to Quex Park where they were holding an event 'The Christmas Quexperience'. They had loads of Christmas activities, our Service Users really enjoyed seeing the 'Reinpaccas' and making a ginger bread man at

Mrs Claus' house!


Our Secret Santa for staff has gone well this year! Who else is excited for Christmas ??


On Thursday night, we went to Betteshanger Park in Deal during Social Club! They had snow tubing and a giant snowman bouncy castle! We thought it would be rude not to have a go!! Took a few attempts to get up to the top but we got there in the end! Thanks to the staff who were brilliant! So nice to do something completely different with the Service Users! Lovely evening


Some photos from our Service User and staff Christmas meal on Wednesday at the Racing Greyhound! A HUGE thank you to all the staff who helped to make it so special! The room looked beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was outstanding as always! Merry Christmas to all!


A few photos from our Christmas Party on Friday! We had a special visitor who delivered Secret Santa presents to our staff and festive party bags to the Service Users! Special thanks to Stephen King for being our very own Santa, the guys loved it!!
